Reading and A Response

The reading about live cinema was quite interesting. After reading through most of the article and looking at the examples i found myself thinking about my project in more detail. It helped me to define what is live cinema and what is VJing to a degree. When she talks about the rythum flow and the way that the clips are cut together and the way that meaning can be found just from these cuts.

I also found the types of shots and content that she was talking about quite interesting. For example the staged scenes for cinema and the person just rocking around looking for things that they find interesting. I would like to see what happens when a VJ uses scenes and props and stuff like that in a Live way. I think it would be like watching a play but with something more. I'm not sure as to what but it would be interesting. With a bank of clips and other content at their disposal the VJ could build on the scene that is taking place in real time and add to the emotional responces from the audience.

Hmmmmm... much more to think about.
